Olive Oil Salt Scrub

I know its scary to wash your face with oil because I was scared too. But seriously, this method has the potential to bring the life back into your face. The castor oil has extractive qualities, while the olive oil is moisturizing-- so its simply a matter of changing the proportion to suit your skin. This recipe is for a scrub, but omit the salt or sugar for an everyday treatment.
Prep Time: 2 Minutes
Cooking Time: None
Yield: Varies
Ingredients:
Olive Oil
Castor Oil
Sea Salt or Refined Sugar Granules
In a small glass container, combine equal amounts of olive oil and castor oil. If skin tends to be oily, use a bit more castor oil. If skin tends to be dry, use a bit more olive oil. Add enough sea salt or sugar granules (here's the one of the few valuable uses they have) to thicken the mixture slightly. Stir well. Rub gently onto bare, dry skin. Get a face-cloth and soak with very hot water. Place the cloth over your face and hold for 30 to 45 seconds or until cloth begins to cool. Remove scrub with the cloth and more hot water. Splash once with cold water to close the pores. Admire your glow.

I've heard of using oil for your face and also read that it's very good for your skin, but I've yet to try it. Thanks for the reminder!

Lovely. I have also done a full-body scrub with ground up mung beans and olive oil. Delightful!

I was also really scared to rub oil all over my face, but it really worked well- the quality of my skin afterwards is like no other face wash I've used. Nice picture!
