This butter is only available here (Australia) in a U.S. brand ( no offence!) that contains sugar etc so we made our own with a little barley malt syrup. Delicious! Thanks for the tips.

Comment on Whole Wheat Soft Pretzels

I just made these and they are great! This is only my second time using yeast on my own, I used to be very scared of it for some reason, but no more. Oh and I coated the bottoms of them in corn meal for a little extra crunch and am eating them with grainy, stone ground mustard. These are the best. I look forward to trying more of your recipes.

Comment on Lemon Kasha Crunch Cookies

I must admit I am a "LOVE" kasha person. These cookies sound (and look) just great!

Oh, and have you tried brown basmati rice? Cooks in 20-25 minutes! :)

Comment on How to Make Yogurt Cheese

I like how this recipe is made written simply and to the point. It's less intimidating than other recipes, especially if you haven't made this before!

Comment on Lemon Kasha Crunch Cookies

Kasha is not that hard to find, it's a traditionally Jewish/Eastern European thing that I've never NOT found in a grocery store (at least on the East Coast). Technically, kasha is buckwheat groats (according to the package), tho I have no idea what groats are. Never even thought you could eat it raw!

Comment on Pumpkin Pecan Butter

Great idea-- pumpkin butter! I made something similar to this the other day, but with winter squash, and as a pudding. Used pureed raisins as a sweetener since I can't have honey, agave, sugar, or anything like that. I love the idea of it as a spread. Now... what to do for something grain-free to spread it on... I have all kinds of food allergies. I'm actually eating raw vegan at the moment. I wonder how that would pair with fresh apples?

Comment on Sweet Pumpkin Dumplings

I made these and they were a big hit! I haven't seen the back of a can of peanut butter in a long time, but maybe using soy-nut butter would lower the calories a little?

Comment on Oat Milk

Vitamin D is available in liquid form. It has a coconut oil base and is tasteless. I live in a Northern Latitude and put a couple drops in a beverage every day.

Comment on Sweet Potato and Whole Wheat Gnocchi

I followed this recipe exactly as you said but I find all I can taste is the whole wheat flour - it completely overwhelms the taste of the sweet potato. Sad, as I could have just had a delicious sweet potato for dinner! Next time I will try with white flour.
